Where has it gone?

Um 2007 how did you pass so fast? Is it just me that feels that way? The girls and I are having a quiet New Years celebration. Bruce is on the road, Morgyn is in Winnipeg. So it is just us and my Aunt. Nice and quiet, just the way I like it.

See ya'll next year.

Phew!! Christmas Was Good

But it seriously kicked my butt!! I swear I act like I don't know it's coming each year, well not every year but this year for sure. I was so far behind it wasn't even funny. Jillian was sick for almost a week, which didn't help much as she clung to me glue. Poor girl, it was not pretty.

But I have to say they raked it in my 3 little bandits. The best gift had to be the Buttersctoch Pony aka Sara. A bit of a price stretch but hey when you have people sending you money to buy for your kids, it is easy to become frivolous. But this pony is seriously cool, she freaked me out when we 1st turned her on. That was of course after we pulled her out of the box headless, LOL!! Jillian wasn't a bog fan the 1st day, fatigue I guess will do that to you. But I swear Sara gave me the eye and was staring me down, I kid you not. She kept blinking at me, winking at me, wiggling her ears at me. It kinda creeped me out enough that I had to leave the room. Bruce is like well I would really be scared if you woke up and she was standing at the edge of the bed, I half expect that to happened courtesy of my smart ass DH. Sara really is quite cute now that I have gotten use to her staring me down and winking.

My favorite gift if I had to choose of course was Dharma and Greg season 1. I loved that show! When I saw it in the store I new I couldn't buy it for myself just before Christmas. But that is where a sister comes in, who happens to have been with you. Aren't sisters awesome!!!

Other than that it really was just a nice day. The weather was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for more. Well except for phone lines that weren't over loaded, that kinda sucked butt.

It Was Good While It Lasted

Well the band trip is off. Yup after all the heart wrenching decision making to say yes. It has been cancelled. Lack of student participation and an increase in price did it in. So I can admit while part of me is sad for Morgyn and missing out on a great experience, the other part is relieved. My bad???

I also can stop and think hey this is only gr 8, there are many trips to come over the years right? So as a consolation her Dad who was saving money up for her too go is flying her home after Christmas for 9 days. I am green with envy. Why you ask? She will get to see her new little cousin, my new niece in person BEFORE ME!! Yep I'm bitter.

This is my new niece, Isrielle Jade born Nov 17/07. She was an itty little bit at 4lbs 8oz and 18 inches long.

Sigh, I want to be 13 again LOL ;-)

Christmas Times A Comin

So I received in the mail today my gift from my swap buddy!! It was fun to get a treat in the mail (ya know other than bills). Having been the 1st swap that I have participated in I wasn't sure what to expect. I was a little unsure of how to shop for someone I didn't know and in turn how would someone shop for me? Well my partner hit the jackpot! Somehow she channeled me quite well. I received packets for making veggie dips spinach, dill and Cajun. I am so making a Cajun cheese ball for Christmas Eve. To go with it there were some packets for hot chocolate, White Christmas and Gingerbread. Yum! My kids have been drinking it like crazy the last few weeks. Then I had this fun little box I am going to keep it all in. Also included was a fun plate, my cheese ball will sit quite nicely on and little serving knives with Christmas characters on the ends. I totally scored. Thank you N - http://muchmorethanamom.com and also thank you for hosting and organizing this little pre-Christmas event.

I am hoping that my swap partner likes her gifts I sent off. When I dropped it off last Friday it was about a 12 day delivery. So we're 4 days in and counting. (I still can't link, believe me I have tried) I will also post pictures as soon as I can A: find my cords to my camera B: can get my card made into a disc
