It's Almost Here!

Yep! The new hockey season is about to set upon us! I am excited!! My husband is likely groaning ;-) Right now the pre-season games are on but I am reduced to listening to the radio, yes that is how addicted I am. I can actually sit and listen to it on ther radio (or computer right now)my Poppa would be so proud. Lots of new players this season but my favorite is still here. Dwayne Roloson, he is an awesome goalie to watch he has some seriously good moves.

I am so hoping to go to a game this year (crossing fingers LOL). My BFF is coming to visit and we're hoping we can coincide a game during that visit.

Yipeeeee I am excited.

This Man Seriously Rocks!!

Yup so this is what I did Saturday night, my sister and I went to Keith Urbans second concert in our city. This man created quite the buzz from his 2 shows. It was awesome that is all I can say. The radio station that hosted fielded phone calls from fans all morning, they also had a contest where you could win $2500 if you were the 103 caller this morning and knew the "code word" from the 2 shows. I tried for 20 mins and then had to leave to take Kamryn to school :-( Not that I really thought I would have gotten thru BUT it was nice to dream. I have been to a few concerts now and while the show wasn't "glitzy" it was amazing, that man can play a guitar like no other I have seen. He works it well LOL.

This has been the year of concerts for me, my poor husband I'm sure cringes every time he hears a concert announcement. We have had tons of opportunities and while I have resisted many I couldn't resist Nickelback (in August when I was back home) Keith Urban this past weekend and next month is Brad Paisley. Yup I admit I went a little crazy this year. But in my defence I did resist some Tim McGraw/Faith Hill and Bon Jovi. I have seen them before but would have loved to have gone again. Bon Jovi was the 1st concert I had ever been too and it seems like forever and a day ago (it was likely 15 years ago).

So that was my weekend. It was fun. So who have you seen in concert? Who was your favorite and who would you love to see?

Bringing you "The Blue Margarita"

So I found this fun little meme on Cheryl's blog (and yes I still can't figure out how to insert that in here, one day LOL).

It's called Discover You Alias Names....

1. Your Rock Star Name (made up of your 1st pet and your current car):

Bailey Grand Caravan

2. Your Gangsta Name (favorite ice cream flavor, favorite cookie):

Rocky Road Oreo

3. Your Soap Opera Name (middle name, city where you were born):

LeeAnn Portage la Prairie

4. Superhero name ("The" favorite color, favorite drink):

The Blue Margarita

5. Nascar name (first names of your Grandfathers):

Wesley Thomas

6. Stripper name (name of your favorite perfume, favorite candy)

Sanctuary Liquorice

Cheryl you always have such fun things like this. Thanks for the open invitation you always have when you do these fun memes.

Of course if I use my Facebook Stripper name it would be Samantha Leathershock, I think I like Sanctuary Liquorice better.

Getting back into the school routine has been tough after a nice summer holiday. The girls are enjoying school. Well Morgyn is at this I hate school phase, I'm hoping it goes hand in hand with turning 13??

Kamryn enjoys going all day this year, I always ask when I pick her up "so what did you do today?" 9 times out of 10 I get well we had recess then, then lunch and recess, then we had 3rd recess. Do we think my kid likes recess? I learned to rephrase my question quite fast to "so what did you do at school today besides recess?" These kids of mine will have me trained soon LOL.

I Am Addicted

Yup I am, I am a Big Brother fan. I guess being that it is a summer thing it is easy to not get overloaded.

After the last few weeks I have decided I am NOT a Donato fan! Why oh why were these 2 let to rule and dominate that house, yes I know that is part of the game? But I mean these 2 are so damn arrogant. E.D/Dick I mean seriously buddy have a shower! You look like a slime ball! Daniele I liked you in the beginning, that soon faded. You are just as sleezy as your Dad.

I am a bad reality t.v. show watcher, it ticks me off to no end when I see what I see. Some I'm sure love these 2, why who knows? But me I am so hoping Zach can finally pull up his socks and win something when it matters. Please oh please LOL.

That is my Big Brother rant, for those who don't watch sorry. I can say this will be my last word, the show is almost over.

Finally!

Well I am finally done. It was bittersweet I have to say. I have had my book in my hands since it was released, sadly I couldn't read it then. Well I could have but at the time we had friends staying with us and while it is one thing to ignore your own flesh and blood you can't very well ignore those that have come 1200 miles to visit you. So it sat until we got back from our own holidays.

Then I started, slowly at 1st. The 1st couple chapters didn't quite reel me in. Then it started to get good. But I read slowly I found myself not wanting it to go too fast since well after this that was it. It was tough to pace myself. It wasn't until I got to the fighting at Hogwarts that I couldn't put it down. I read like a mad woman. Then it was over. I was half expecting to sob my way thru, I had my Aunt who finished her book before me saying if I sobbed YOU will definately be in trouble. But for some reason I didn't? Which is rare for me, I cried like a baby when Dumbledore died in the last book.

I liked it alot. I liked how everything kinda came full circle and how it all made sense. I like how JK tied up all the loose ends. I liked the 19 years later bit, I'm one who wanted to know who married who and what their kids names were.

One of my favorite parts was the description of Lupins and Tonks baby Teddy and his color changing hair, such a little part but I can't wait and hope it will be incorporated into the final movie. I loved how at the end Lily/James/Lupin were by Harry's side as he headed to where Voldermort was, that gave me chills.

But on the whole I really enjoyed the book and it was sad when it was over. Now what LOL??

If you were a crayon?

What color would you be? I am a blue crayon. Fitting I found since I wear alot of blue.

You are most like:

You are Blue

You are cool and soothing, with a hidden spontanious side. You are deeper than most people percieve, and you care a lot for those whom you surround yourself with.

Take this quiz: Which Crayola Box of 8 Color Are You?

I found this fun idea via a blog I read. Again I have had troubles linking her blog here (one day i will get it LOL one day)
So what color are you?

A Fun Idea

Coming from Cheryl's blog (as much as I have tried I cannot figure out how too add a link *sigh)

You take your middle name--mine happens to be Lee Ann--and use every letter in it to tell something about yourself! I'm officially tagging you all on it and asking you to play along. Put your answers in my comments section, or post a comment letting us know that you are doing it on your own blog.

L -likeable. Although I am quite shy I like to think I am likeable

E- easy going. I am a pretty calm, cool and collect kind of person. I take most things in stride.

E- eager to please. I like to make sure those around me are happy.

A -away. I am away from the city/home I grew up in all my life. It is hard at times to be so far from family and fiends and the "norm" I was use too.

N- nice.. What else is there to say about nice LOL.

N- not a very critical person. I usually see the glass half full and that there is always good in people.

So I thank Cheryl for inspiring this post for me. I have seen it around blogland the last few days and hope to see some more middle names out there.
