Oh What A Week

My poor baby has been sick.

Jillian started Monday with a fever, at times she hit 102.5 which was pretty scary as that was after Tylenol, it was not an easy task to get her temperature taken. She wasn't liking this hey lets put this thing under your arm until it beeps. I had a heck of a time getting Tylenol into her too, I had to sneak it into pudding cake the 1st day and the 2nd day well she had caught on. I put it in her juice but it "tasted yucky" I'm told LOL. Smart kid. We are now left with a terrible cough and a snotty nose. I'm hoping she doesn't share with her sisters, or me for that matter.

I had a scary moment the other night, I had put her into my bed to sleep and I was down stairs and I heard her screaming. I run upstairs and Jillian is lying there just shaking like crazy, I figure it had to be the chills. It was weird though as it took me a bit to settle her and she was kinda babbling and I swear she said "Jillian not dead!" I was like WTH?? Did I hear that right?? I still doubt myself? But it scared the crap out of me none the less.

Visits

There is nothing better in the world than visits. Especially when you left "home" almost 3 years ago and left family and friends behind. When you get a phone call for your BFF that starts out routine and then she says "Oh ya I'm flying out on Monday OK!" whats a girl to do??? Well besides clean like crazy she (or me) gets ape shit excited as we only have 2 sleeps till the day! WOOOHOOO. So that was my week last week. My BFF (Michely) came out for a visit, and we had a blast. We shopped, talked, watched our favorite shows, had lots of sushi and tempura, and basically hung out. It was awesome. On Friday to cap the week we went to the Family Dance at Kamryns school and partied it up there, I won 4 movie passes to boot. Life is good!

Oh and look who has enough hair for these:

we are that much closer to being less "follicly challenged" which I don't think is really a word but hey the girl hasn't had much hair the last few years LOL.

Happy Hearts Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day all! We're just having a quiet laid back day. Kamryn was off to school as happy and excited as a 6 year old girl could be, she was so cute. Yesterday she says "Mom, the principal said we needed to wear red, pink or orange (ya that one threw me off too) for Valentine's Day" Okay, easy enough. So I got out her pink turtleneck and black pullover dress for her to wear. "Um, Mom I don't think we can wear black? she says. LOL, I think it will be ok.

We made Valentine's which she loved, she was like Mom did you make them when you were a kid?? Nope we bought them, I replied. Which shocked her to say the least LOL. I was going to make some fortune cookies I has seen in my Womans World magazine but I lost my mo-jo and sent grapes instead. Either which way it was all good.

Hope you all have a great day with those you love!!

Man it's cold!

Well it seems we're still in our deep freeze! Can I even say how tired I am of the cold?? I mean come on -40's + with the windchill is inhumane. The consolation could be Yellowknife, NT was the coldest spot in Canada the other day. They were a balmy -42 without the windchill! While that was us with the windchill. I bet they must think we are wimps when we complain!

This was out my side door the other day (I apologize for the bad pictures)

While the snow has stopped blowing it's still frigid. Morgyn is loving it as she is getting chauffered to school, it's a little to cold to jump on old Transit Tom. Even Kamryn is getting driven to school and we're talking a 3 minute walk, but with Jillian it's just to darn cold to pull her in the sled.

If there is a bright side to the last week, we went shooping the other day. A nice warm winter activity! The girls got gift certificates from Build-A-Bear for Christmas so we went down. It only ended up costing us $10 out of our own pocket, which is pretty reasonable for that store. It still blows me away at the $5 underwear for stuffed animals, and the $10 shoes! OMG, whoever thunk that store up was a freakin genius!

The other bright side? Today is Friday! Woohoo. No getting up in the mornings for 2 whole days. Ahhhhhh.

P.S. Forgive any spelling mistakes, my spell check isn't working???
